Seasonal & Insulated Patio Rooms

And Porch Enclosures

From a distance many patio rooms look alike. But, the closer you get and the more you investigate, the more differences you will see. There are major differences in quality of materials and engineering that will determine whether your patio room or patio enclosure is dry, secure, and maintenance-free for all the years that you own it.

Better living three season patio roomThree Season Patio Rooms

The Betterliving Three Season Patio Room is the most economical of all our glass wall systems. The glass is single pane tempered in clear or bronze tints. Three season patio rooms offer sliding windows and doors with the most advanced track / roller system available. All framework is heavy gauge aluminum with baked on powder coated enamel paint for durability and lasting good looks. If you want to heat your sunroom frequently or continuously, consider the Betterliving Extended Season Patio Room or the Betterliving Vinyl Sunroom.

Extended Season Patio Rooms

Extended Season Patio Rooms are constructed with the same high-quality aluminum extrusions as used in the three season rooms. They also feature efficient, insulated low-E glass with argon gas fill. Extended season patio rooms and porch enclosures can be heated for winter enjoyment. Betterliving patio rooms set the industry benchmark for aluminum rooms. For photos of our work, see our Patio Room Photo Gallery, or if you already have a porch and would like to enclose it, see our Patio Enclosures Gallery.

Common Features

You would not use a square peg in a round hole and neither would we. Each Betterliving patio room part is designed specifically for it's intended use rather than using the same part over and over again. This produces a better looking sunroom with superior performance in harsh weather and improved  durability. Betterliving Patio Rooms can accommodate existing decks or pads that are not level. Windows and doors are designed to insure long-term ease of operation. Even the sunroom weep holes are punched at the factory and located to prevent clogging. All Betterliving Patio Rooms include:

  • Door tracks are designed to prevent damage and sticky doors

  • The most advanced water control system available designed to address every drawback in traditional designs

  • 3" wall system for superior strength, thermal efficiency, and appearance

  • All windows and doors roll on steel rollers with stainless steel ball bearings, and roll with ease on a stainless steel track for a lifetime of maintenance-free operation

  • Can be built to accommodate existing decks or pads that are not perfectly level

  • Electrical wiring and screws can be concealed with optional Electric-Trac extrusions

  • The framework, windows and doors are engineered into an integrated system rather than a framework with replacement windows inset.  This provides tighter seals, and a quality, flush appearance unbroken by protruding frames.

  • 50 Year Manufacturers Warranty

Despite external appearances, there are differences between patio rooms ...BIG differences. Call or e-mail us and we will show you! If you already have a porch and want to enclose it, be sure to see our Enclosures Photo Gallery.

Additional Extended Season Room Features

Insulated glass panes are separated with PPG Intercept® spacers for the best combination of durability, resistance to gas leakage and resistance to heat loss. Intercept spacers are so energy efficient they keep the edges of the window glass warmer, so your patio room is less expensive to heat in the winter. As you can see below, the temperature difference can be dramatic.

This thermograph or “heat picture” compares inside glass temperature for an Intercept insulating glass unit (left: yellow is warmer; blue is cooler) and a conventional unit (right). Because the Intercept glass technology allows for significantly warmer glass temperature, especially at the edges, your patio room or porch enclosure will feel more comfortable and cost less to heat.

Better living insulated patio room low e

A cutting edge patio room glass package would not be complete without an effective low-E (low emissivity) glass coating to reduce fabric fading and improve thermal performance. Low-E coatings reflect most ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) light while allowing most of the visible light through. By reflecting UV, Betterliving glass will significantly diminish fading of fabrics and carpet. IR light waves are what make the sun's rays have warmth. By reflecting IR light solar heat gain is reduced so the patio room is more comfortable in the summer. In the winter, this works in reverse to help keep the warmth inside the patio room and reduce heating costs. Betterliving utilizes a low-e coating with a perfect balance of heating and air conditioning performance for Connecticut patio rooms.

Superior thermal performance ... doors and windows designed to operate smoothly for a lifetime ... the best engineered water control system available ... a beautiful quality appearance with optional concealed fasteners and electric raceways ...
