Year-Round Vinyl Sunrooms

Windows have evolved from wood to
aluminum to vinyl for good reasons. Due to
its low conductivity, vinyl reduces heat loss and reduces the possibility of
condensation that can occur when warm moist air contacts cold framework. Vinyl
sunrooms provide the ultimate combination of thermal efficiency, minimum maintenance, and
architectural tie-in to the house. As the innovator of vinyl sunrooms, Betterliving®
leads the industry in design, engineering, and beauty resulting in four season sunrooms
and patio enclosures that
will stand the test of time. Betterliving®
sunrooms offer a unique combination of features:
-
Virgin vinyl is mixed with a high proportion of
additives for UV resistance and color stabilization
-
All structural members are reinforced with steel or
aluminum
-
4-1/4" sunroom walls provide the best combination of strength, thermal efficiency, and
appearance
-
All windows, doors and screens roll on steel rollers
with stainless steel ball bearings, and roll with ease on a stainless steel
track for a lifetime of maintenance-free operation
-
Betterliving®
Sunrooms can be built to
accommodate existing decks or pads that are not perfectly level
-
Electrical
wiring and screws are completely concealed
-
The framework, windows and doors are engineered into
an integrated system with active water control rather than a framework with
replacement windows inset. This
provides tighter seals, and a flush appearance unbroken by protruding frames.
-
Sunroom
Windows and doors are Energy Star certified in all 50 states

Visiting our showroom is a great way to see
how beautiful our Betterliving sunrooms are. However, living with a sunroom for many
years will tell you about it's design and quality that is not entirely evident
in a showroom visit. Ten years from now, will the windows and doors still
operate smoothly and easily? Will the sun room develop leaks? Have the vinyl or
other components cracked or faded? And, is the room energy efficient and
resistant to condensation? Unlike other systems, the Betterliving water control
system is designed to prevent clogging of the weep holes and accumulation of
standing water with the associated mold build-up inside the hidden drainage
channels. It is designed to drain 8" of rain per hour and ensure that your
sunroom will remain dry and comfortable. Everyone has experienced sticky sliding
patio doors. Balky doors are caused by worn or damaged tracks, worn rollers, or
door frames that are out of plumb or not square. Betterliving four season sunrooms address every
one of these issues with superior engineering to prevent these problems and
provide years of trouble free performance. All our components right down to the
sealant come from the same manufacturer to assure color consistency. The
vinyl is infused with titanium oxide to resist fading and chalking. The roof
panels utilize a baked on enamel paint similar to your appliances and are
protected with a clear coat top surface. Betterliving vinyl sunrooms are engineered to
look great for a lifetime and are backed by a 50
year manufacturers warranty.
Betterliving Sunroom Glass
Betterliving®
sun room glass is tempered similar to the side windows of your car. Tempered
glass is about 8 times strongest than standard glass and is covered by a limited
lifetime warranty against breakage. If broken, the glass will shatter into
small pebble-like pieces rather than large dangerous shards. All sunroom glass
is insulated and Energy Star® certified in all 50 states. To attain this
prestigious certification, Better living uses argon gas fill between the panes.
Argon is a harmless inert gas and is a more effective insulator than air.

A cutting edge
sunroom glass package would not be complete without an effective low-E (low emissivity)
glass coating to reduce fabric fading and improve thermal performance. Low-E
coatings reflect most ultraviolet (UV) and infrared (IR) light while allowing
most of the visible light through. By reflecting UV, Betterliving insulated glass will
significantly diminish fading of fabrics and carpet. IR light waves are what
make the sun's rays have warmth. By reflecting IR light, solar heat gain is
reduced and the sunroom is more comfortable in the summer. In the winter, this
works in reverse to help keep the warmth in the sun room and reduce heating
costs.
